Description

Vanda Neostylis Lou Sneary is a miniature vandaceous orchid. The flowers are lovely two-tone with white and blue edges. The parent Neofinetia falcata is the first orchid ever to be grown as a house plant in Japan in the 1600s. It is also known as the Samurai Orchid, The Japanese love this miniature orchid species.

These orchids are all epiphytic. They do not like any potting medium. Vanda orchid roots must not be allowed to dry out entirely. Watering of this vandaceous species must be done with care to prevent water from remaining in the crowns (top leaves), a condition that can cause crown rot.
